Using OpenSeal
Terms
How OpenSeal works, the role of human signatures, and the storage periods included in each plan.
Read the plain text versionSending and signing
OpenSeal lets you send documents, collect signatures, and download completed files. You provide the document and its contents. Signed-in users can place fields with the editor; integrations can supply field positions. We do not write your agreement or promise that it satisfies any particular legal requirement.
Human signatures and agent attestations
A person must apply their own signature and confirm signing. An AI agent or API key cannot sign on a person’s behalf. An agent may record an attestation when you include it in the request and give it permission; an attestation is not a human signature.
Plans
Free stores completed files for 7 days. Pro is $19 per month and stores them for 365 days. Creating a free account does not extend storage. Download your files before their storage period ends. We may refuse or limit abusive use.
Open source and self-hosting
The software is licensed AGPL-3.0-only and can be hosted on your own infrastructure. The hosted service is provided as-is.
